London, Aug 20 (IANS) Former "Friends" star Jennifer Aniston is under fire from disability groups after describing herself live on US television as a retard.

The actress was promoting her new movie "The Switch" on "Live with Regis and Kelly" when she said: "Yes, I play dress up! I do it for a living, like a retard!", reports contactmusic.com.

Madonna in talks to land $1 bn Las Vegas deal

London, Aug 20 (IANS) Pop diva Madonna is in talks for a $1 billion deal by signing up for a five-year residency in Las Vegas, which can make her the third richest female entertainer in the world.

The "Frozen" singer is said to be in discussions with promoters to establish a run of shows in the US gambling capital, and if she signs the deal, she will be following in the footsteps of other performers such as Elton John, Cher and Celine Dion, who have all made huge sums through Vegas contracts, reports contactmusic.com.

Madonna sued over clothing range

London, Aug 20 (IANS) A clothing company has filed a lawsuit against pop star Madonna claiming the singer has used their 'Material Girl' trademark for her clothing range with daughter Lourdes.

Madonna who worked on a range of clothes entitled Material Girl with her 13-year-old daughter is being sued by LA Triumph for using the same name as their clothing collection, reports contactmusic.com

Bharti Airtel bags BCCI’s sponsorship rights for home series

Mumbai, Aug 20 (IANS) India's Telecom giant Bharti Airtel Friday bagged the sponsorship rights for the Indian cricket team's home series for a period of three years (2010-2013).

"Bharti Airtel has won the Series Sponsorship Rights for the period of 2010-2013 with a bid amount of Rs.3.33 crore per Test/ODI/T20 International," Indian cricket board secretary N.Srinivasan said in a statement.

Pak Senate Committee recommends removal of PCB chief over inappropriate remarks

Islamabad, Aug 20(ANI): Pakistan’s Senate Committee on Privileges has recommended to President and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) patron, Asif Ali Zardari, to remove PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt on charges that he maligned and questioned the credibility of some of its members on sports. Senator Tahir Mashadi, who heads the privileges committee, said that the committee gave its recommendations after finding Butt guilty in the two privilege motions moved by the senators.
