No information on India-Pakistan cricket ties: Chidambaram

New Delhi, June 30 (IANS) Home Minister P. Chidambaram Wednesday said he had no information about the possible resumption of India-Pakistan cricketing ties.

“I have no information on this,” he replied when asked if the two countries had agreed to resume their cricketing ties stalled in the wake of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.

Wipro to fund women attending research conferences

Bangalore, June 29 (IANS) Global software major Wipro Technologies has tied up with the US-based Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) to fund women students attending research conferences the world over, the IT bellwether said Tuesday.

“The funds will help ACM to encourage women students majoring in computer science to attend conferences on the computing field for five years from 2011,” the company said in a statement here.
