Earlier George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Harry Connick Jr and Justin Timberlake were in contention for the role. But the African-American actor was finalised to play Sinatra, reported femalefirst.co.uk.

Astronauts finish Hubble repairs

Washington, May 19 (dpa) Two US astronauts Monday put the final vital maintenance touches on the Hubble Space Telescope, replacing old insulation and a guidance sensor on the ageing satellite before its scheduled release back into orbit Tuesday.

The seven-hour-plus space walk completed a marathon five straight days of work in a risky mission by the Atlantis shuttle that entailed a stand-by shuttle on the launch pad in Florida for a rescue mission if needed.

New York, May 18 (IANS) Indian shares listed on American bourses climbed in early market trade Monday spurred by historic market rally in India after the Congress-led alliance’s victory in the parliamentary polls.

Among the 16 Indian stocks listed as American Depository Receipts (ADRs), Tata Motors rose by 27 percent to $9.68, ICICI Bank rose more than 29 percent to $30.15 and Infosys Technologies gained 15.3 percent to $36.95.

Talking at an astrobiology meeting, scientists revealed that it could be possible to get clues of life on such exoplanets via tiny fraction of the parent star’s light that interacts with the planet on its journey towards Earth.
