At an event held at JW Marriott, Juhu, Mumbai, Amitabh Bachchan announced the venue for International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards venue for 2009. He declared The Venetian, Macau as the venue for the IIFA weekend to be taken place on June 11-13. Big B is the brand ambassador of the IIFA since its incorporation in 2000.
Feroz Khan’s last film’s director recalls his experience
Writer-director Anees Bazmee was the last director, the late Feroz Khan worked under. The film was the super duper hit of 2007, Welcome which clashed with Aamir Khan’s Taare Zameen Par at the box office. Feroz Khan’s relatively small but significant character in Welcome, funnily titled RDX was very popular. His dialogue – Abhi Hum Zinda Hain was greeted with roaring laughter whenever he spoke it on screen in the film.
Jackman keeps film footages of him naked in a safe
London, April 28 (IANS) Australian actor Hugh Jackman has revealed that he has kept unused footage of his naked shots from the film “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” locked in a safe.
The actor exposed himself several times while filming a particular scene for his forthcoming movie but none of the shots could be used in the final cut as the film has a PG-13 rating in the US, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Abhishek Bachchan playing Amitabh’s father in ‘Pa’?
London, April 28 (IANS) Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is said to be playing his megastar father Amitabh’s father in the upcoming movie “Pa”, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Those working on the production are not permitted to speak about the film as per contractual rules. However, a source from the production house has revealed that “Amitabh plays an alienated and slightly retarded son of Abhishek” in the film.
John, Bipasha, Katrina go missing in Karan Johar vote-youth video
Mumbai, April 28 (IANS) John Abraham, Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif were also chosen to participate in filmmaker Karan Johar’s vote campaign video. But at the last moment, the trio couldn’t be a part of it for various reasons.
“That’s true. Earlier on, John and Bipasha were all set to be a part of this video that has been created to spread awareness around voting this election season. Even Katrina was finalised but in the final scheme of things, we had to shoot the video without them. Such a pity,” said director Tarun Mansukhani.
