London, March 30 (IANS) No one in the “Slumdog Millionaire” film crew predicted its Oscar success – except for one of the child actors, director Danny Boyle has said.
“When things like this happen, it’s always unexpected really because that’s what makes them so extraordinary,” Boyle said at a glittering Empire award ceremony Sunday night, where he picked up the prize for outstanding contribution to British cinema.

Rahman’s mega show in Kerala
After having won the Oscars, music maestro would be first time performing live music concert titled ‘Jai Ho’ at Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode, Kerala on May 3 to express solidarity with the HIV positive orphan kids. Apart from Rahman, over 50 well-known musicians will be participating in this show being organized by the NGO Global Kerala Initiative. A.R. Rahman said he had been wanting to perform in Kerala for the last 15 years. Though he had cancelled at least seven shows this year itself as he would be in US for at least six months, he wanted the Kerala show to be held as it was ‘irresistible’. Malayalam singers are gifted, dedicated and their foundation very strong, he said to a news agency.
Slushy water on Titan may be proof of volcanism
London, March 30 (ANI): New radar images from NASA’s Cassini probe have suggested that slushy water from a hidden ocean may be pooling onto the icy surface of Saturn’s moon Titan, thus bolstering the case for the existence of volcanoes on its surface.
Titan’s exterior, where the temperature is around -180 degree Celsius, is thought to be mostly water-ice, but it may be a different story deep down.
Variations in the moon’s rate of rotation suggest an ocean could lurk below.
