Islamabad, Aug 20(ANI): Pakistan’s Senate Committee on Privileges has recommended to President and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) patron, Asif Ali Zardari, to remove PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt on charges that he maligned and questioned the credibility of some of its members on sports.
Senator Tahir Mashadi, who heads the privileges committee, said that the committee gave its recommendations after finding Butt guilty in the two privilege motions moved by the senators.

Bharti Airtel bags BCCI’s sponsorship rights for home series
Mumbai, Aug 20 (IANS) India’s Telecom giant Bharti Airtel Friday bagged the sponsorship rights for the Indian cricket team’s home series for a period of three years (2010-2013).
“Bharti Airtel has won the Series Sponsorship Rights for the period of 2010-2013 with a bid amount of Rs.3.33 crore per Test/ODI/T20 International,” Indian cricket board secretary N.Srinivasan said in a statement.
Bollinger adds salt to England’s ICC player of the year award ‘snub’ wounds
Sydney, Aug 20ANI): Australian fast bowler Doug Bollinger has started his pre-Ashes mind games by targeting the England team snubbed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the player of the year award despite a successful year.
Though England had defeated Australia in last year’s Ashes series, ODI series and the Twenty20 World Cup final, it did not have any representative in the 16-man shortlist for the award.
