‘Ishqiya’ to be screened at Indian film fest in London

New Delhi, July 9 (IANS) Vishal Bharadwaj’s critically acclaimed crime caper “Ishqiya” will be screened at the inaugural edition of the Indian Film Festival of London (IFFL) from Aug 25-29.

Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, co-produced by Shemaroo Entertainment and Vishal Bharadwaj, “Ishqiya” stars Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi and Vidya Balan in the main leads.

Hosting ‘Big Money’ is mentally draining: Madhavan

Mumbai, June 18 (IANS) Multilingual actor R. Madhavan has hosted game shows before, but he finds hosting “Big Money” exhausting because he has to interact with the whole family on the sets.

“Not very often you have shows where the host has to interact with the whole family. It is quite difficult to deal with four different personalities on one show. It is mentally draining because you are constantly on your feet,” Madhavan told IANS in an interview.

Shaan mulls marketing of new album

Mumbai, June 16 (IANS) Bollywood playback singer Shaan is ready with another album after four years, and is mulling how to promote it as he feels that “regular marketing vehicles” are not so easy to tap for non-film music.

“I have an album ready, but right now I’m planning how to promote it well, since album sales are not very encouraging right now,” Shaan told IANS in an interview.

Teaching should be the highest paying job: Aamir Khan

Mumbai, May 20 (IANS) Actor Aamir Khan, who has raised pertinent questions about the education system through his applauded films “Taare Zameen Par” and “3 Idiots”, believes that teaching should be made the highest paying job in India to encourage the best brains to join the profession.

“By and large, people go for teaching who don’t find jobs elsewhere. So if I don’t find a job elsewhere I will get into teaching. Therefore the cream of minds from every field end up going into business or something else to achieve success in their lives. The reason is that our teaching jobs don’t pay much.

‘Kites’ will be the successor of ‘3 Idiots’: experts

New Delhi, May 19 (IANS) Super duper hit and the successor of “3 Idiots” is how multiplex bosses predict the future of Hrithik Roshan-Barbara Mori starrer international love story “Kites”, which is releasing Friday.

“We have very high expectations from ‘Kites’ as after ‘3 Idiots’ this will be the biggest release. We are going to have 13 shows per three screen and 14 shows per four property respectively for the movie,” Deepak Taluja, senior vice president (business and operations) of Fun Cinemas, told IANS.

Aishwarya’s a hero, Abhishek a brat: Tamil star Vikram
